This is for those of you interested in helping out the Korean community. KoreAm, the longest-running independent English-language publication serving the Korean American community, is looking for an online media manager to begin immediately.
The ideal candidate for this role:
-Has 2-3+ years of editorial experience.
-Strong management, teamwork, organization and communication skills.
-Familiarity with the Korean community in the US and abroad.
-Experience in writing for web
-Must be knowledgeable with WordPress, and should be familiar with SEO, ftp, hosting, and all social media outlets
-Preferably comfortable with graphic design & video
-BS/BA, preferably in liberal arts, journalism, communications or related fields.
-Knowledge of AP style.
-Assigning, editing and writing content for the website
-Recruiting and finding freelance writers, reporters, artists, etc., to contribute to iamKoreAm.com
-Maintaining relations with the APA community, and working with marketing -and media sponsoring various APA events
-Working closely with Marketing Director to create promotional online materials for all KoreAm events.
