Clothing Drive for victims of Typhoon Ondoy

The following post is from University of Illinois at Chicago’s Filipino In Alliance regarding an important event dedicated to helping Typhoon Ondoy victims. Please refer to the following for more information on the Clothing Drive.

From Filipinos In Alliance (FIA):

Filipinos In Alliance (FIA) is asking for your help! Please help us
collect as many clothes as possible to support the people who have
been affected by the Typhoon Ondoy.

Typhoon Ondoy has caused hundreds of deaths and millions of damages.
As one of the worst flooding Philippines has experienced, news have
shown people surviving on the top of their roofs, leaving thousands of
people homeless. In order to help out, we are asking you to give us
any clothes you can possibly donate. Your donations will be sent to
the Philippines to help the families that were affected by this
terrfying storm.

FIA’s PRO, Emil Encarnado, will be at the SCE Inner Circle (where
Wendy’s and Subway are located at) to collect your donations. Emil
will be waiting in front of the entrance to collect any donations on:
Monday, October 12th from 10AM-4PM
Wednesday, October 14th from 10AM-2PM

Any donations from shirts, old jeans, shorts and anything else will be
greatly appreciated. Please help us help those in the Philippines. If
you have any questions, please feel free to call or email me (my info
is located below). Remember, your help will make a difference in
someone’s life.
