This year’s celebration is particularly special. On September 9, 2009, the California State Assembly voted to “designate the month of October 2009, and every October thereafter, as Filipino American History Month.” The entire text of the bill is available on the state legistature website (Bill no. SCR 48).

*Target First Free Sundays—free general admission on the first Sunday of every month and the family programs offered on that day—is made possible by Target. Free admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to capacity restrictions, admission is not guaranteed.
