Recent updates report that Pope Benedict XVI expressed his “spiritual closeness” to the former president through a communiqué issued by the Apostolic Nunciature in the Philippines. “The Holy Father has asked that you be informed that he is remembering you in his prayers,” Papal Nuncio to the Philippines Archbishop Edward Joseph Adams told Aquino. My prayers goes out to the Aquino family especially after reports of President Aquino’s daughter Kris saying her mother’s conditioned is deteriorated and is in a lot of pain.
